TRHofA: In My Opinion (Part 1)
TRHofA = The Real Housewives of Atlanta
The ladies of The Real Housewives of Atlanta have created lots of conversation around town (and probably all around the country) regarding their portrayal of our city and the caliber of people who live here. Here’s my take on the situation plus a few links to other resources about the cast.
DeShawn Snow
She seems to be the most clueless of all of them, especially regarding herself and the world around her. She says that she knew she was “destined for greatness” and that has nothing to do with the fact she married an NBA player. Rihanna was destined for greatness, not DeShawn. She is spending money VERY quickly on a full house staff and talks about her different businesses, but none of them seem to do anything. She can’t raise money for her foundation and the real estate company she allegedly runs with Eric doesn’t even have a live website anymore.

The Official DeShawn Snow Website - www.deshawnsnow.com - The title picture has got to be one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. What is she doing? She looks like she’s trying to reenact The Sound of Music in her backyard.
The DeShawn Snow Foundation - www.deshawnsnowfoundation.org - About her foundation, but doesn’t seem to have any actual information except overwritten bios of their Directors. It’s odd that no financial information is disclosed. Hmm…

Rip-Off Report about EDJ Realty & The DeShawn Snow Foundation - Written testimony dated July 2007 from a former employee. I think it’s probably an accurate statement because it was written long before the show was made and the author wouldn’t really have a reason to go public.
Lisa Wu-Hartwell
I respect Lisa. She seems like she’s got some sense and I believe that she is in a great relationship that is bonded by mutual respect (and unlike DeShawn, she knows she has to keep her body in shape in order to keep her husband). Yes, she is Keith Sweat’s ex-wife, but she hasn’t tried to bank on her former relationship (like Sheree). Lisa has a successful real estate career and she does a great job of protecting her brand. It also helps that she is a nice person (I’m actually seperated from her by one degree).

Kim Zolciak
Kim, Kim, Kim. What to say about Kim? I will say that I had the pleasure of meeting her parents, daughters, and dentist at the Atlanta premier of the show. Her daughters are beautiful and very sweet, which says a lot of positive things about Kim (and probably Kim’s mother and/or nanny) since she’s their mother. With that said, I’m not sure how I feel about her thinking that she can sing (or for that matter, produce a CD that people will want to buy) or that being sponsored by a man she refers to in front of her daughters as “Big Poppa” is a good example to them. Just for the record, I don’t have children, so I really don’t have any business making a judgement on that. It does seem to me like having a job and working regularly would be a better representation of how a respectable woman acts, but I digress.
Unfortunately, Kim hasn’t done a great job of promoting herself because there isn’t anything official online about her. Again, I’m not sure if she really understands how sales work, but if you want someone to buy a CD, you’ve got to advertise yourself. I’d be glad to do some marketing consulting for her if she wants.

This show is a trip. I agree with your comments thus far.
Lisa Wu-Hartwell is the only one on the show I’d deal with. The others just seem to be gold-diggers with no real purpose in life (Ne-Ne & Kim). Or maybe just too stuck on themselves and oblivious to the real world (Sharee & Deshawn). I think Sharee may end up going Lesbo. JMHO.
If I was Ne-Ne’s son I would have done that college tour by myself. LOL
If Sheree goes Lesbo, Bravo will certainly pick that up as they have had numerous gay/lesbo shows. I agree that Lisa is the only one who appears to not be a gold digger (and she is the finest one of the group too).
