Burda, Burda, Burda!

Noni’s Italian Deli & Bar has become one of my new favorite places in Atlanta.  I’m apparently not alone with my opinion as it currently has a 4.5 star rating on Yelp! In addition to loving the great food, fun people, and awesome bar, there is a lot to be said for the restaurant itself.  Years ago it used to be an animal hospital and until its current owners converted the space it was vacant for more than a decade.  Now Atlanta’s Edgewood Avenue corridor (just blocks from the historic King Memorial) has another new addition to help increase the value for the neighbors that call this area home.

Show your appreciation for Noni’s by voting for them in the Atlanta Downtown Design Excellence Award contest.  While some of the other entries may look more elaborate and spectacular, I doubt any of them undertook the great task of converting a completely abandoned and forgotten space into a busy, neighborhood eatery.
