Wearing My “Marketing Director” Hat
This is more work related than anything, but you might also find it interesting. I read Seth Godin’s blog every day and I learn something from almost every post. This morning he wrote about “Watching and listening” and there is a lot to be said for the very few words he used. It all really comes down to being aware that people are most likely to be influenced by what you do than by what you say. Wow. Is it really that easy? I think it is.
Speaking of easy, your customers want you to remember them even after the sale. Seth referenced this article and even though it directly references business situations, it also easily translates into personal relationships.
Since I’m at work, I guess it’s good that I’m wearing my “Marketing Director” hat today. These are some of the things that I find interesting with my job and why I love what I do. It’s all about people (and that’s an entirely different topic) and since I enjoy people and interacting with different personalities I guess that’s good.
