It’s Burda (a David K. joint)

So, I’m kind of torn over what to think about this website. I discovered it today while I was looking for an email address for someone I met last night at the GLAAD event. The site is a resource site for parents and families who are struggling to cope with the announcement that their child is gay. It’s maintained by my friend’s parents and he is also featured in several areas.

On one hand I am glad that a website like this exists. It’s helpful and other than PFLAG, I think it’s probably one of the only resources for parents caught in this situation.

On the other hand the site is very harshly worded and after reading everything it doesn’t seem like these people have actually accepted their son’s homosexuality. Both parents sound resentful and I hope that I’m just getting the wrong idea. I don’t know them personally, so I really can’t say for sure.
